The best way to reach the Bear Catching Fish Statue at 89 Sparks Street (corner Metcalfe & Sparks Streets, 1 block south of Parliament Hill, directly across from Bridgehead Coffee) is by the Light Rail Transit (LRT). Exit at PARLIAMENT Station and follow the signs for Parliament Hill. Most OC Transpo buses run downtown or will bring you to your closest LRT Station to catch the next train to Parliament Station. If you are staying at a downtown hotel, you can easily walk to 89 Sparks Street. Ask your hotel concierge for directions.

Most walking tours are approximately 2 – 2.5 hours.
There is no problem leaving the tour early. Please simply just let the guide know you are leaving so they are aware and not waiting for you before departing for the next stop.
Please arrive a minimum of 5 minutes before your tour departure time. Washroom facilities are often difficult to find in downtown Ottawa so we highly recommend you use the facilities before you arrive for the tour.

The amount you tip your guide is entirely up to you. Our guides want you to enjoy your time with them and greatly appreciate any amount you offer. Generally however, tips are $25 per adult and $10 for children 12 to 17.
We prefer cash tips but also accept credit and debit card payments as well as Apple, Google and Samsung Pay. Tell your guide your preferred payment method and they will be happy to assist you.
Our tours run rain, snow or shine, regardless of temperature so we advise you to dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of your tour. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera to take photos. During the summer we highly recommend you bring a water bottle, and wear sunscreen.

We love dogs but not everyone does! Quiet, well-behaved dogs are welcome but please understand if other participants are not comfortable with Fido joining the tour, we may ask you to join us on another time. To be absolutely certain your four legged friend is welcome, book a private tour and we will be happy to show you and Fido a great time!
