1How long are your walking tours?
Most walking tours are approximately 2 hours.
2We have a large group. Do you offer group rates?
Yes, we offer group rates. Please contact us for more information.
3Do you allow walk ups?
For our FREE "Pay What You Want" Tours (May 1 to September 1) please walk up and join our tour. We would love to have you. Outside these dates, a reservation is required.
4How do I recognize your guide?
Our guide will be at the meeting location a minimum of 5 minutes before the tour departure time. Our guide will be holding a red umbrella. Please approach them and let them know you are here to join the tour.
5What time should I arrive at the tour meeting point?
Please arrive a minimum of 5 minutes before your tour departure time. Washroom facilities are often difficult to find in downtown Ottawa so we highly recommend you use the facilities before you arrive for the tour.
6What if I have to leave before the tour ends?
There is no problem leaving the tour early. Please just let the guide know you are leaving so they are aware and not waiting for you before departing for the next stop.
7How much should I tip my guide?
The amount you tip your guide is entirely up to you. Our guides want you to enjoy your time with them and greatly appreciate any amount you offer. Generally however, tips are between $12 to $20 per person.
8Do you accept credit or debit card payments on FREE tours?
No, we do not accept credit or debit card payments on the FREE “Pay What You Want” Tours. We can only accept cash or E-transfers. However, you may pay via credit card or E-transfer for all private tours or group bookings.
9How do we reach the meeting point at 90 Wellington Street?
The best way to reach our departure point (the Terry Fox statue at 90 Wellington Street) is by the Light Rail Transit (LRT) system. Exit at PARLIAMENT Station and follow the signs for Parliament Hill. Most OC Transpo buses run downtown or bring you to your closest LRT Station to catch the next train to Parliament Station.

11What if it rains, snows or is too hot?
All our tours will run rain, snow or shine, regardless of temperature. We advise you to dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day of your tour. During the summer months a water bottle and sunscreen are considered good ideas.
